U.S. Senator Edward Everett, the man most famous for preceding President Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address, signed lot of three pamphlets and one letter: - Addresses at the Inauguration of the Hon Edward Everett as President of the University of Cambridge inscribed by Everett to Charles M Parkman, Edward Everett signed Address - The address of Mr. Everett and the poem of Dr. O. W. Holmes, at the dinner given to H. I. H. Monseigneur the Prince Napoleon, September 25th, 1861 Cambridge: Privately printed, 1861. 8 1/2 x 5 3/8". 20pp. Disbound. Sabin 23271 (see under). The poem was "Vive la France!" Inscribed copy, signed: "His Honor / Mayor Lincoln [Frederic W. Lincoln, Jr., mayor of Boston] / with the best respects of / Edward Everett / Boston 5 June 1864. - A pamphlet “Speech of Mr. Everett on the Proposition to Amend the Constitution” 1826, signed by Everett to “Mr. Lincoln” and while some have speculated this is Everett sending a copy to Abraham Lincoln it is more likely to Frederic W. Lincoln, the mayor of Boston. - 1 page ALS, written and signed by Edward Everett 29 April 1840
