We, here at Nations Attic have auctioned several of this collectors watches, and each has been in excellent condition and some with amazing prominence. Once again he has selected us to present for our customers another one of his hard to find in this condition a beautiful Military dive watch from the 1940s.

A guaranteed totally original HAMILTON canteen watch issued to the US Navy UDT division Frogmen of WW2, and also issued at the beginning of the Korean War. This was the very first model canteen watch, designed to be waterproof for US Navy Frogmen. The condition of this vintage watch is unbelievable. The movement has been cleaned and oiled a couple of years ago. The other amazing thing that accompanies this watch is, that it still has the original issue watch band. These bands I’m told were not popular with the divers and so many of them were removed and replaced with the nylon strap, making it even more rare to find one still with the watch.

The case is stainless steel, the glass crystal is leaded in place to make a seal, the back cover is a screw down and underneath is a pressure proof and dust proof covering the movement. The movement itself is the model 987S, 17 jewels, sweeping second hand and hack featured.
