Description
This is a very interesting and possibly unique fiberglass diving helmet that has been recently discovered. Found in Canada, this helmet has a strong resemblance to the famed Rat Hat designed by Bob Ratcliffe. The helmet does not have any manufacturers names or marks. The only information is some crudely etched numbers and AI 10 on the divers left outside bottom of the helmet.
Overall, the helmet is in very good original as found condition. The black paint shows the normal signs of use. The Neck ring and dam are present and detach with ease. It appears most of the internal components are still present.
This is a fascinating helmet and one with further research would be a fantastic addition to any collection or museum.
All diving helmets in this auction will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Nations Attic. The certificate will have a unique number that will match the number on a tamperproof hologram decal placed inside the helmet. This information will be kept on permanent file at Nations Attic and help ensure the provenance of the helmet and authenticity.
All items will be shipped with a signature required upon delivery and full insurance either via FedEx or the USPS Priority Mail.
