In original box, marked "No. 6014 Custer's Last Stand". Marx made a total of four versions of Custer's Last Stand, two in 1957, one in 1963, and a Battle of the Little Big Horn set in 1972. They were not big sellers and are very rare to find today. The biggest set was the 1963 set sold through Sears. Strange in that the sets issued in 1957 and 1963 did not include Custer or Sitting Bull figures, even though these figures were included in some of the Four Apache sets of the same vintage. This example is complete and in excellent condition, but box shows some creasing and slight staining to top lid. Instructions and bags show normal wear with minor discoloration. Extremely rare set.
