A mid century mixed media on board painting by Alberto Ruiz Vela, Mexican, 1920 to 2016. The painting depicts a colorful city street scene in the Neo Impressionist manner. Signed by the artist lower left. On the back features an original paper label of the Martin Lowitz Gallery with information about the artist. One of a kind artwork. Alberto Ruiz Vela was born in 1920 in Mexico City, Mexico. He studied art there at the Mexico Academy of Fine Arts. Among his teachers were Jose Clemente Orozco and Carlos Ruano Llopis. He was later to receive his mural training with Diego Rivera. He is known for his cityscapes, bull fight scenes, landscapes, and seascapes. He painted in both oils and watercolors. Ruiz Vela came to the United States in the early 20th Century and settled in the Los Angeles, California area. He painted murals locally, and throughout the United States and Mexico. Ruiz Vela exhibited widely throughout California and Mexico. His works are in collections worldwide. Mid Century Impressionist Fine Art For Collectors.
