After graduation, she embarked on a career in the advertising and broadcast industries. After sixteen years, she decided to further her passion of interior design, starting with the UCLA post-graduate program in interior design. She then spent twenty-four years working primarily in residential interior design through her company, Kathryn Schumacher Designs, LLC with projects nationwide. Currently Kathryn is committed to pursuing her life-long joy and interest in being a full-time artist working primarily in mixed media collage and monotype
