Description
Mixed media artwork by Vadim Voinov, 1940 to 2015, a Russian Noncomformist artist and gallerist. Voinov developed a technique titled functional collage which correlates typologically with counter-reliefs of the Avantgarde artist Vladimir Tatlin, but emphasizes a specific metaphorical statement. This artwork is composed of a wooden base, central photo portrait of the WWII Soviet Marshal Georgy Zhukov, and various military insignia including buttons and pins. Titled Two Sides of the Medal. Dated 1994. Signed by the artist on the backside. Zalman Gallery label sticker on the backside. Collectible Contemporary Art, Installation.
