Tulis Batik Shoulder Cloth, Indonesia, C. 1920-30. "Slendang" shoulder cloth of machine woven cotton tabby cloth with decoration in tulis, handdrawn batik in "nitik" style, drawn to resemble weaving. The pattern is that of an Indian patola, also referred to as a Jlamprang motif in Indonesia. Size: 6'5'' x 1'8'' (196 x 51 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
