Gervais Emmanuel Ducasse (Haitian, 1903-1988) "A Port-Au-Prince: Avenue Des Orphelins Quartier Populeux" oil on panel board depicting a bustling city scene with figures on sidewalks, a car and police motorcyclist driving in the street alongside a person riding a donkey, with an avocado seller to the right, signed to lower left and titled below with a letter dated 1974 to verso, housed in a black metal frame. Image: 23.5" H x 15" W; frame: 24.25" H x 16" W x 1" D. Provenance: From a private collection in Ardsley, NY, Westchester.
