Russian-French artist Ivan Pougny, better known as Jean Pougny had his first solo show in the famous 'Galerie der Sturm' in Berlin. He later moved to France in the 1920s with his wife where they stayed for the rest of their lives. It is in France that his artistic style began to mutate towards a unique variant of Impressionism.
