A Mid century cast spelter classical sculpture lamp with a base made in the shape of a figural group depicting Pegasus and Perseus with a head of Gorgon Medusa after Emile Louis Picault, French, 1833 to 1915, the original sculpture, 1888. Signed, E. Picault, and inscribed, Salon Des Beaux-Arts 1888, with etching on the side. Emile Picault, a French figure sculptor, is best known for his allegory, mythology, and patriotic subjects.
