A pair of early 19th century Watercolors of American Naval Battles one is the Capture of H.B.M. Frigate Macedonian Captn. John S. Carson, by U.S. Frigate United States, Stephen Decatur Esq., Commander. Early 19th Century American Watercolor, after the original by T. Birch, P.A. and engraving by B. Tanner. Unsigned, on woven paper with "J.Watman" watermark in upper right corner. size is 20" x 27"(full sheet) Cleaned and deacified, old tear has been professionally repaired. The other watercolor is after original drawing by Sully and Kearny, and engraving by Murry, Draper, Fairman and Co. Unsigned , on when paper with "J.Wahtman"; watermark in upper right corner. Size 20.75" x 28.25" (full sheet) Cleaned and Deacified, old puncture in upper right has been professionally repaired framed measurements are 36" x 30" high
