Description
A Greek terracotta cockerel and dove
Circa 5th Century B.C.
The cockerel modelled with cockscomb and wattle with full tail feathers, the white slip with red details remaining, 14.5cm high, and a dove, sacred to Aphrodite, with rounded head and bulbous eyes, with long striated folded wings, set on short conical legs, 10.5cm high (2)
