Large Chinese Sancai Glazed and Painted Pottery Figure of a Lokapala (Tang Dynasty)
realistically detailed, in dynamic pose with both arms outstretched in an archers posture, the face in a concentrated expression, the body defined by detailed and ornate armor, including shoulder pads in the form of dragons, the face and helmet painted with red and black pigments and the remainder covered in wax resist created patterns from green, amber and cream glaze
