Jack Hammock abstract oil on board titled "Off Shore" painted in San Francisco from 1952-53, 27 inches H x 19 inches W. John "Jack" Hammack was a New York artist who was taught by artist Louis Bunch (1907-1983) whose peers he was connected to were Jackson Pollack, Robert Motherwell and Franz Kline. After having numerous shows Hammack moved to San Francisco and showed in many galleries during the 1940s to 1960s after which he moved to Portland to paint for the rest of his life.
