A Grouping of (13) American Coin and Sterling Silver Forks
including a set of (6) forks with mark of "J. Rafel," possibly for the New Orleans silversmith and retailer, Joseph Rafel, active 1850-1862 (7 1/2 in.); (3) forks with mark of Andrew Comstock Benedict, New York City, active 1828-1888 (7 1/4 in.); (2) pastry forks, one marked "Coin" (5 3/8 in.), the other with mark of Charles F. Hill, Oswego, New York, active 1852-1880 (5 1/4 in.). All with various monograms.
Also included are (2) forks in a matching pattern with matching script monograms, one marked "Sterling" with maker's mark of George W. Shiebler, the other unmarked (7 1/2 in.).
