Dimensions: Overall size: 8 3/4 x 11 5/16 in. (222 x 287 mm).
Lot Note(s): Signed in chalk, lower right. Drawn on lightweight pale cream wove paper. Overall condition good to very good; very small chip in the paper, upper centerr; a few fox marks and mild edge toning; remains of hinging paper and collector ink stamps, verso. Schlemmer was a German painter, sculptor, designer, and choreographer associated with the Bauhaus school. Many of his celebrated works involve the representation of bodies as architectural forms, reducing the figure to a rhythmic play between convex, concave, and flat surfaces.
