Three Miniature Bird Carvings
Brig. Gen. Chester deGavre (1908-1993)
Onancock, VA, c. 1960
quail is 6 in. long, 3 1/4 in. tall
Three bases, each featuring different species, with the maker's signature on the undersides. One is a resting ruddy duck with an upswept tail, another is a pair of bobwhite quail, and the third is a pair of goldeneye.
Original paint with light wear.
