GLORIA SWANSON'S COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION OF ALL THE SAD YOUNG MEN, IN ORIGINAL FIRST ISSUE JACKET. Gloria Swanson makes an appearance in the story 'Rags Martin-Jones' as the 'beautiful people' disembark from the ship. Fitzgerald's notebooks contain numerous mentions of parties attended at Swanson's, and according to a 1937 letter to Zelda, Fitzgerald once fought with Frank Morgan in a coat closet at Swanson's (F. Scott Fitzgerald to Zelda Fitzgerald, October 8, 1937). A beautiful copy with an interesting association. Bruccoli A12.1.a.
