ARCHAISTIC COLLECTION
瓶撇口，平唇，長束頸，圓鼓腹，下承圈足。通體以深、淺藍琺瑯釉相間作地，飾多層紋飾。以夔龍捧蓮花為主體，深藍飾簡易相背雙夔龍，線條奔放有力，肢體延展向上成捧蓮花，向下成平檯，蓮花飾以黃白、紅白、紫白等色，釉色濃郁雅正，花朵綻放嬌美，枝葉舒展自如，有如工筆畫之寫實效果，彰顯皇家華貴氣派。紋飾層次豐富，頸、肩以三道弦紋分隔，頸部分飾相疊如意紋、纏枝蓮紋及獸面紋，肩等距四鍍金獸面銜環鋪首，其間纏枝蓮花環飾。腹部環飾纏枝蓮花八朵，足飾蓮瓣紋一周，圖案布局層次分明，華縟雍容之極。唇、弦紋、鋪首、活環及足鍍金，金水濃厚，凸顯出金碧輝煌氣勢。清宮舊藏，北京故宮博物院庋藏明〈掐絲琺瑯獸面紋耳活環瓶〉，仿古造形及裝飾豐富構圖與本品極為相似，可資參考。可見乾隆時期無論是對琺瑯色料燒造技術或銅礦進口均有一定程度的掌握，同時鍍金技術亦受藏傳佛教影響而臻上乘。
清乾隆朝琺瑯器的製造達到鼎盛，清宮造辦處設有專門的作坊，製作大到宮廷禮器、陳設，小到文房用品、生活用具，藝術格調可分為仿景泰琺瑯、仿古器之作和應時之作三大類別。尤嗜仿古的乾隆帝下令製作許多仿古琺瑯作品，器型多源自商周青銅器。本品從器型審視，為仿漢青銅禮器製成，藍本取自欽定四庫全書－西清古鑑、卷二十一．漢〈獸環壺十一〉圖譜，依原型造就，加強裝飾效果，靈活改變組合關係，加進創新素材，於端莊肅穆中富有變化。整體掐絲繁密精細，琺瑯釉色沉穩純淨，色彩絢麗，花紋工整，鍍金厚重炫目，具濃重宮廷色彩和皇家氣息。
