瓷胎，胎體輕薄堅實。通體施白釉，釉色凝白細潤。壺敞口，束頸，長方形扁腹，橢圓形足。底紅彩「乾隆年製」篆書款。壺體兩面長方形描金開光，開光外於粉色地通景勾勒粉紅彩雲蝠紋，線條婉約流暢，筆力秀勁。開光內以各色粉彩繪飾嬰戲圖，一面在茵茵草地上，童子著紅衫綠褲，手持如意騎乘白羊，身後梳髻童子著藍衫橘褲，手執風箏玩耍，寓意「春風得意」；另面小童子著綠衫黃褲，手執鯉魚，大童子著紅衫藍褲，手捧花瓶，瓶中為穀穗，還有燈籠相伴，寓意「歲歲平安」、「五穀豐登」。整體工藝精緻，線條纖細圓轉，色彩溫和雅致且富深淺變化，加強景物立體效果。
嬰戲圖即描繪兒童遊戲為主題，又稱「戲嬰圖」，以表現童真為主要目的，畫面豐富，設色濃麗，姿態有趣。中國繪畫嬰孩的傳統已有許久的歷史，到唐宋時期技巧漸趨成熟，宋代更是嬰戲圖的黃金時期。且嬰戲圖中孩童的形象純真，特別能表現節慶歡樂氣氛，有祈福求安等吉祥含意，深受人們喜愛。清宮舊藏，北京故宮博物院庋藏清乾隆〈粉彩開光嬰戲圖獸面啣環耳鼻煙壺〉，與本品皆以嬰戲圖為主題，繪工寫實細膩，甚為生動。另拍場相似之例如拍賣於香港蘇富比2015年5月31日，編號24，清乾隆〈粉彩八仙圖鼻煙壺〉，可資參考。
本件鼻煙壺描繪精湛寫實，用筆清勁，畫法工細，人物形態圓潤生動，色彩飽滿充滿吉祥韻味。整體畫面傳達出孩童憨稚頑皮、驕憨天真的神態以及天真良善、無憂無慮之童稚氛圍，藝術表現甚是高超。
