110 清 竹簧龍紋雙管鼻煙壺暨黃楊木雕瓜瓞綿延蓋盒

鼻煙壺以竹簧工藝製成，雕工細緻典雅，韻味獨特。呈雙連造形，直口，圓筒式腹，淺圈足。其一壺腹以陰線刻龍紋，龍身修長，曲迴彎繞，五爪強勁有力。四周祥雲飄逸，畫面緊湊；另一壺腹凸雕柺子龍紋，由回紋、方角勾和圓角勾圖案組成不間斷紋樣，線條規整，轉折流暢。配有黃楊木雕蓋盒，盒呈瓜形，器表浮雕、鏤雕枝葉，枝幹蜿蜒曲折，葉片層疊、翻卷自然生動，空中飾以蝴蝶、蝙蝠飛舞，寓意祥瑞，別緻討喜。
竹簧，又稱「貼簧」、「翻簧」、「反簧」，約創於清早期，至乾隆朝達到高峰。其製作工藝複雜，乃將竹子去節去青，留下薄層的竹簧，經煮、曬、壓平後，膠合於木胎上再磨光，刻飾各種圖案。竹簧質地細膩，紋理清晰，其銜接緊密，接榫處毫無榫跡，被譽為「天衣無縫」，深受皇室及藏家青睞。
本件鼻煙壺巧施細膩竹簧技藝，採少見的雙連造形，且兩種龍紋風格迥異，相互對比，別具逸趣。拍場相似之例可參見拍賣於香港邦瀚斯2010年11月23日，編號99，1740–1820〈竹黃刻龍紋雙連手卷形鼻煙壺〉，其形制、紋飾與本品相似，可資參考。然本品所搭配的蓋盒以黃楊木雕瓜瓞為主題，整器俯視恰成飽滿瓣形福瓜，上下瓜瓣中心作切口式蓋盒，穿枝過梗，枝葉綿延婉轉，充滿生機，寓意瓜瓞綿綿，子孫興旺，與鼻煙壺拐子龍紋的富貴連綿相映成趣，呈現華麗富貴氣息。

Linda Riddell Hoffman（1923－2009）是一位充滿魅力的優雅女士，不僅天姿國色，對生活更充滿積極向上的態度與冒險精神。婚後，定居於波特蘭，並投身眾多活動與團體，曾擔任波特蘭歌劇協會主席，任職於希望之城癌症中心、波特蘭房屋建造協會。在此期間，Linda 對亞洲藝術產生濃厚興趣。於眾多藝術收藏中，尤為熱愛鼻煙壺，更與 Bob C.
