A SMALL FAMILLE VERTE PORCELAIN BRUSHPOT, BITONG, QING DYNASTY
China, 1644-1912. Of cylindrical form rising from a partially unglazed base, painted in vivid green, yellow, aubergine and blue enamels, as well as in iron-red, depicting Magu and her attendant carrying flowers in their baskets.
Provenance: Holzapfel collection, Geneva, Switzerland. This lot was acquired by second generation members of the Holzapfel family after 1990 and has remained in the family ever since.
Condition: Very good condition with minor wear, and few manufacturing flaws.
