An unusual baluster wine glass, circa 1725
The tall conical bowl with a solid base, resting on a cushion knop above opposing solid balusters separated by a small cushion knop, over a domed terraced foot, 15.4cm high

Patrick and Mavis Walker Collection
A glass of very similar form but with a round funnel bowl engraved in diamond-point with a clock dial was sold by Bonhams on 13 November 2013, lot 71. The terraced foot was more popular on candlesticks and is unlikely to have been used much before 1725, see Delomosne and Son, The Baluster Family (1985), pp.36-7, no.16c.
