A very large and rare heavy baluster goblet, circa 1715
The generous bell bowl with a heavy solid base, the stem with a wide inverted baluster containing a tear, above a teared basal knop and conical folded foot, 27.3cm high

The form of this impressive goblet is known in several glasses of smaller size, see for example Delomosne and Son, The Baluster Family (1985), pp.10-11, no.3b, but it is highly unusual to find one in such a large size.
