v, 616 pp. With color fore-edge painting. 21.2x13.2 cm (8¼x5¼"), contemporary straight-grain morocco, decoratively ruled in gilt; spine sections tooled in gilt; all edges gilt, gilt dentelles.

With fore-edge painting of whaling ship "Samuel Enderby" of London, built-in 1834. Ink ownership marks of previous owner on front flyleaf. Bookplate of Edward Thomas King on rear pastedown.

Condition

Spine slightly sunned, rubbing along edges and joints; hinges starting, small hole on front flyleaf, foxing to preliminary and final pages; very good.
