A pair of Meissen porcelain figural double salts, A pair of Meissen porcelain figural double salts, 19th century, the first centred with a woman plucking a goose, the second with a man stirring a saucepan, each flanked by shell-shaped bowls, raised on rocaille scrolling bases, marked to the underside with underglaze blue crossed sword marks, incised numbers '680' and '681', and further marked with a red painted 'P', 23.5cm wide 11cm deep 17cm high (2) Provenance: The Gordon Gridley Collection, London. Condition Report: Chips and losses, the male salt with large firing flaws, gilding worn, broken fingers, both with cracks and would benefit from further restoration required.
