Description
Interesting how Bohemia is circled out in a circle in the middle of the Holy Roman Empire. A large Poland but Prussia on a small scale is shown. ‘ Petite Tartarie’ or little Tartary is shown over what’s southern Ukraine and Crimea. Condition. Minor toning around edges otherwise in excellent condition on thick paper. 1794 edition by Robert de Vaugondy/ Delamarche, from 'Nouvel Atlas Portatif', posthumously published. Vaugondy was appointed geographer to the king Louis IV in 1760. Hand colored copper plate engraved. 16 x 11 1/2". Published in Paris. Created to educate young people. Authenticity Guaranteed.
