These two books cover the Indian Wars between 1866-1891. "The Unregimented General" a biography of Nelson Miles written by Virginia Weisel Johnson is peppered with photographs and prints by Frederic Remington and it includes Wounded Knee, 1962. "The Story of the Soldier" written by Brevet-Brigadier General George A. Forsyth covers the soldier from Revolutionary time through the flight of the Nez Perce in 1877. It has six illustrations, published in 1905. Both are library books, Unregimented General is blue fabric covered at 9 in.
