Description
Lugano is a 1952 Swiss travel poster created by Daniele Buzzi. Lugano is located in the Ticino region, by the Ticino River, It borders with Italy and Italian is the main language in this area. The largest city is Lugano. The area carries a German nickname of Sonnenstube or "sun porch" due to the regions more mild temperatures and longer hours of sunshine in comparison to the rest of the country. Here, the Italian influence is seen in the gondola boat. Daniele Buzzi (1890-1974) was graphic designer and poster artist who is well known for his many Swiss travel posters. He is known for his distinct fauvist color palette, which is more pronounced in his earlier work. This is an Original Vintage Poster; it is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed, and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
