Description
The 1920s and 1930s were the heyday of cocktails, and this striking Art Deco design fits right in. Amer Blanchet was a brand of liqueur created with fresh orange peels, a selling point highlighted in this poster by a bright, large orange. The bottle of Blanchet is revealed as a slice out of the fruit, enticing the viewer to try a 'bite'.Amer is the French version of amaro, a bitter orange flavored liqueur that has recently regained popularity. It was originally created as a tonic to fend off malaria, which is why it usually is made with quinine. The artist of this poster is Geo Yrrab, who created many liquor and car racing posters in his career. Unfortunately, there is not much known about his life. This is an Original Vintage Poster. It is not a reproduction. This poster is conservation mounted, linen backed and in excellent condition. We guarantee the authenticity of all of our posters.
