Description
Circa 17th century AD. A finely modelled figurine depicting a cross-legged Buddha on a decorated plinth, the left hand resting in the lap and the right hand on the knee; the body robed and head crowned; to the underside, the clay core exposed. Acquired on the London art market in the 1960's. 772 grams, 16.5 cm (6 1/2").
