Jimmy Yazzie Navajo 9mm-11mm Turquoise, Sterling Silver and Leather Concho Belt - This Native American concho belt was made by Navajo silversmith Jimmy Yazzie. The belt is black leather decorated with solid sterling silver conchos and 9mm-11mm turquoise nuggets. The belt is marked with Yazzie's "JY" hallmark on the back of the buckle. Measurements: 39" length, conchos-2.25" x 2", buckle-3" x 2.25". This belt comes from a collection which has been housed in a vault for over 40 years. According to our seller, her parents started in the Native American jewelry business in 1972, and the family would travel to the New Mexico Native American reservations and purchase pieces directly from the tribes. They eventually went into the gold jewelry business and have kept these pieces in their private collection for over 40 years.
