Description

Sight View 6-1/2" x 9", Overall View 8" x 10-1/2", Stanley accompanied the Stevens Expedition in 1853 to illustrate the report for the Northern Railroad survey. He captured this early image at sunset of Old Fort Walla Walla and Indian encampment at the confluence of the Walla Walla and Columbia Rivers. Appears to have been included in the "United States Pacific Railroad Surveys" Published in The 1850's
