Description
A Chinese blanc de chine ding censer dating from the 18th century. The round tripod censer has a pair of vertical handles. It has an incised Greek key band with geometric beast heads.
Dimensions are: 5 1/4 inches tall X 3 1/2 inches wide, 13.3 cm X 8.9 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Two of the legs have been repaired. There is a large iron pit to the body.
Provenance: From the estate of Lim Kee Chin, who was Singapore's trade commissioner to Hong Kong in the 1960s. Mr. Lim acquired these items while he was in Hong Kong.
