Classic heart form. 5/8" height plus the suspension loop. Central high relief heart in its fully evolved form with cusped top, and beaded surround. The cusp bridged with another forming a pierced heart within a heart! The sixth points are nubbed as is common. That feature evidently had spiritual significance, now lost. The heart stood for bravery, fortitude, loyalty, integrity, all attributes of the Viking warrior. It is abundantly referenced in Viking literature. Professionally refurbished with the silver surface restored on a Sterling silver neck chain for modern wear. Gift boxed with certificate of authenticity. Very fine example.
