British School, late 19th to early 20th century, oil on canvas, "Horse Cart Landscape", painting depicting a rural scene with a horse cart crossing a ford in a river, in giltwood and composition frame, apparently unsigned with "P-740/Landscape" paper label en verso and "P.R. Turner" along with faded text (possibly a gallery), "S.K. 579", and "50NY to stretcher, and "Winsor & Newton" stencil to canvas.. Canvas approx. h. 20", w. 30"; Overall h. 26.25", w. 36.25".

Condition

Canvas has been lined, scattered inpainting to left edge, varnish has darkened, hazy green varnish visible under ultraviolet light.
