Antique Moro Kampilan Sword, Philippines, Late 19th C. Very sharp single-edged 29" blade, traditionally used by various ethnic groups in the Philippine archipelago. The design of the pommel typically depicts a buaya (crocodile), a bakunawa (Dragon) a kalaw (hornbill), or a kakatua (cockatoo). From the collection of Joseph Salamanca. Size: 40.25'' x 6.25'' x 4'' (102 x 16 x 10 cm).
