A sad sack's "blind" date goes straight to hell when his hottie-cum-harpy girlfriend scratches his eyes out (should've swiped left, old chap). Meanwhile, "Haunt of the Vampire," possibly drawn by a guy named Collier, features several clear-cut swipes from Johnny Craig's zombie classic "Till Death" from Vault of Horror #28, published two months earlier.
"Violent, nutty injury to eye cover, 'one of the most gruesome in comics history,' according to pre-Code historian George Suarez. Torture panels; hot poker in eye panel." — EC, MAD and Pre-Code HORROR Comics of the 1950s. Green Apple Books: 1997, p. 6.
