#7: VG- (3.5). Spine stress, 1/2" tear to right edge of front cover, a few edge nicks, shallow chips to back cover, staples pulled, penciled distributor's mark ("P1-25") to "C" in "CRIME," 1/2" or smaller tear to margins of 3 leaves. Off-white pages.
#8: VG- (3.5). Spine stress, center crease, crease to top right corner of front cover, small edge chips and nicks, bottom corner of back cover creased. Off-white pages, cream edges.
#9: VG (4.0). 3/4" split at bottom spine, light rub to top spine, fine creases to top right corner of front cover, staples pulled. Cream pages, light tan edges.
Covers: Kurt Schaffenberger, uncredited others. Art: Hy Fleishman, John D'Agostino, uncredited others.
Post-Code issues. Cops quash crime sans bloodletting; one panel shows a guy take a slug without bleeding, and he remarks upon the situation for the benefit of readers and Code administrators: "Got me... chest hurts... but no blood... just knocked the wind out of me!" In a seldom-seen anomaly, the cover to #7 illustrates the text rather than a proper story.
