A Rare Monumental Japanese Bronze Vase with exceptional figural relief Elephants around the belly of the vase. 19th century Japanese work of art casted and designed in bronze and signed by the artist. A magnificent sculpted patinated work sculpted dimensional detailed renderings of bronze elephants encircling the perimeter of this palace size creation. Each elephant is sculpted with a life like quality and, when viewed together shouts out the artistic talent/genius of this artist. The piece has a cartouche enclosed signature visible below the elephants in one area of the bronze. The vase retains a lustrous finish and is in very good condition. There is a tiny weep hole on its side from casting. Provenance: Property of an Established Collector of Fine Bronze Works of Art, New York. Approximate Dimensions: 24 inches (height) x 22.80 inches (Diameter)
