For six full years he lived in Baja, California, Mexico where he flew his plane to uninhabited and virtually unexplored areas in order to study and paint the magnificent Sea of Cortez. "Reader's Digest" corporate personnel have purchased one of his paintings for a cover. His paintings are in the permanent collections of Riverside Art Center and Museum, Sand Diego Art Museum, Los Angeles Museum of Arts, Phoenix Art Museum, Leanin' Tree Museum and Colorado State Museum.Moreton had a permanent listing in "Who's Who in American Art," "Dictionary of International Biography," "Men of Achievement," "Personalities of the West and Midwest" and "Community Leaders and Noteworthy Americans."In 1994, he was murdered, a case which has remained unsolved.
