Description
An antique leaded glass table lamp that we attribute to Gorham. Dual socket bronze lamp base with leaded glass shade. Neither the shade nor the base are signed or marked in any way. The patination to the base and its bronze, not pot metal, casting implies Gorham. The small diameter of 1 3/4" at the top of the shade also implies Gorham. Overall great quality in every respect. Note the well executed gradation in color to the shade from a dark pine green at the lower rim up to an almost completely white at the upper rim. Overall height is 23" including the finial. Shade diameter is 15 1/2". CONDITION: Fair to good and in as found and untouched condition having been excavated from a nearly abandoned building. Our images show the condition clearly. The shade has two areas with cracks. The base is unwired and please note the splotches of verde green patina that have developed from sitting unused in a damp basement for many, many, decades. Original sockets and acorn pull chains.
