Description
Flatware. Late 19th century / early 20th century. To include: seven 8 1/2" tablespoons by Gorham, six 5 3/4" teaspoons by Gorham, ten 7 1/2" forks by Gorham, eight 7 1/4" English silver forks. 53.17 ozt. Good overall condition. Monogrammed with an H. Provenance: Originally owned by Dr. Elias Braman Harris (September 13, 1824, Richfield Springs, NY- August 7, 1900, San Francisco, CA). Dr. Harris arrived in San Francisco in 1850, and operated several businesses including a medical practice, hotel, mill, and mine in Amador County, CA. He was also a personal physician to the bonanza kings. Harris served in the United States Navy during the Civil War. In 1865 he married Anna Isabella Stevens (August 14, 1828, New York, NY- July 18, 1908, Mill Valley, Marin, CA) Please note: this must be paid for by wire transfer, known check, or cash.
