Description
A Large 30" tall figural clock depicting a whaling seaman at the bow of a boat atop a base of nautical shells, seaweed, and other sealife which houses the clock movement. The bow of the ship reads, "FRANCE" though we suspect the figure is either English or American in origin. Brass clock works marked PARIS in script and a clock makers mark that we cannot read as it is obsured by the case and its chime bell. CONDITION: Good. No idea if the movement works as it is missing its pendulum and key. Movement appears untouched and unaltered but assume it has problems so as not to be disapointed. Spelter figure undamaged though he is missing the spear that should be in his right hand. Twisted wire faux rope loose and unattached. No breaks or repairs to statue.
