An early Kurdish village rug in fragmented condition; the right-hand side is missing. The four-and-one field design of a box-shaped white central medallion and supplementary corner devices can be traced back for centuries in Anatolia, and in addition it has influenced specific South Caucasian rug groups. – Mounted, a number of tears, holes and missing areas.
