Group of Five Glazed Earthenware Vessels and Canisters, Probably American
Comprising:
Two canisters and one cover
A jug
A two handle jar
A tankard
The largest 8 1/2 x 6 in. diam.
The Collection of Mary B. Schwab, Stoneleigh Horse Farm, Middleburg, VA.Condition
Each with wear, crazing, staining and losses. One canister lacking a cover, the cover with large chips and the bases with cracks and losses. The jug with chips to the rim and foot, losses to the surface of the body and handles. The jug with a C shaped crack around neck. The tankard with a crack to the body and a chip to the rim. Otherwise nice aged patina.Â
