Cotton 1870's Pennsylvania Mennonite star of Bethlehem quilt, all hand pieced and hand quilted, with backround stars and a nice zigzag border. It measures a generous 86" X 88" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional light spot, subtle discoloration in a handful of pieces, and no wear. The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall. There is quilting around the piecework and in straight line and cable designs in the background, all at an even 7-8 stitches to the inch. The back is 19th century cinnamond pink, the hand stitched binding is solid burgundy, and the batting is thin.
