A blackened French cuirassier's close helmet, circa 1620
Two-piece skull with 16 flutes, a star-shaped washer with suspension ring riveted to the crown. Hinged visor with turned edge. Visor plate with distinctive flange under the eye openings, on both sides rosette-shaped ventilation holes. Hinged bevor. Riveted collar plates with turned edge. Blackening renewed. Height 27 cm.
