89. GERMAN PORCELAIN LADY WITH RARE COIFFURE AND BODICE BY C.F. KLING. 14 ½”. Porcelain shoulderhead with sculpted black hair with stippled detail, hair waved away from face and secured by gold barrette on each side of head, molded bodice with royal blue tie and striping, painted features, shaded light blue eyes, red and black lid lines, tapered brows, cloth body with porcelain lower limbs, wears cotton blouse, silk taffeta plaid skirt and black silk jacket. Commentary: Circa early 1860s lady with seldom-seen coiffure and bodice; paint wear on right cheek and hair, sturdy original body, shown on page 1867 of “A Pictorial Reference Guide for German Chinas”.
